Research Interests
The majority of my research is concerned with understanding the behavior of liquid crystal director. This work is interdisciplinary and involves both theory and experiment; an indication of the breadth of investigations undertaken is given by the following list of projects.
(a) Investigation of the director distribution and dynamics of liquid crystals studied by deuterium NMR spectroscopy
(b) Dielectric properties and two dimensional orientational ordering of a liquid crystal mono-layer
(c) Study of the director fluctuation and deformation affected by external fields
(d) Development of fast optical switching using liquid crystals
